Who I am

Guilherme de Mello

I'm Guilherme, an Italian-Brazilian iOS Engineer who moved from Brazil to Ireland in 2024 and never looked back. I live in the Irish midlands with my wife, and most of our weekends have involved a car, a map, and another stretch of coastline worth the drive.

Away from Swift, I'm usually cooking, somewhere deep in Tolkien lore, or chasing the next idea for an app. I hold Italian and Brazilian citizenship, speak English and Portuguese fluently with workable Italian, and I genuinely like building and living between cultures — I think it's shaped how I work as much as anything technical has.

  1. 2024 — PresentSenior iOS EngineerEIDA Solutions · Dublin, Ireland

    Sole iOS engineer on a native iPad/iPhone app for construction field workflows. Own the offline-first, event-driven sync layer (SQLite/GRDB), Auth0 authentication, CI/CD and releases; 99% crash-free sessions. Led the RxSwift/UIKit → SwiftUI, Combine and structured-concurrency modernisation, and shipped the Slope Verification smart-annotation feature (PDFTron/Apryse) 20% ahead of schedule.

  2. 2022 — PresentiOS Developer (side projects)GEM TechLabs AI

    Shipping consumer apps end to end. Layered on-device/cloud inference with Apple's Foundation Models framework and the Anthropic Claude API, guided generation (@Generable), the Evaluations framework, and App Intents for Shortcuts, Spotlight and Siri (FoodLens, Jornada, Folio).

  3. 2021 — 2023iOS Developer & President of the Bidding CommitteeCabo Frio City Hall · Brazil

    Internal iOS apps across finance, healthcare and social-assistance departments; secure data transfer and authentication for sensitive citizen data. Served concurrently as President of the Bidding Committee.

  4. 2020 — 2021iOS DeveloperMM Trade Group

    Shipped two native iOS apps end to end (Swift/UIKit), concept through App Store, with REST integrations built to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
